Altoids and Easter Poster

March 23, 2009

This is the poster that we are putting around town for Easter. In the past we have not really pushed Easter because every other church was.

This year we decided to see what we could do. We don’t want to pander to people but we do want to extend a message of hope to the world. Easter is the reminder of hope for the world. What better time to reach out right? We went with a mint theme inspired by Altoids.

Give me your thoughts.

The copy reads:

Some things just say stuffy and boring. Many people don’t realize that Jesus came to set them free. When they think of church the picture is not of a God who wants to be their shelter. They see religion and don’t understand that Jesus came to bring hope and forgiveness.

Easter is a time to celebrate this great gift from God. New Heights Church would like to invite you to join us Easter Sunday because mints are nice, but we all need something more.

Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. at 106 N. Main across from the city building. You will find we prefer relationships over religious trappings. Prepare yourself to meet some great people as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. We look forward to meeting you.
