You are invited.

This past Sunday we had a visitor from out of town that had come with family. After reading about all that our church is doing she commented to me that we seemed very missions minded.

I found it interesting that she would use that word. That she saw what we do and understood that our focus is not on ourselves but others. It is exciting to be a part of a movement of God. A movement that is impacting lives in tangible ways both physically and spiritually. Just a couple of weeks ago a woman came to our fellowship because she saw all that we are doing in the community. She was restored in Christ but that journey began because of service to others.

We will be celebrating eight years of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ this Sunday, September 23. When New Heights Church started many people didn’t understand this outward thinking, now more and more people are insisting on being a part of such a work.

If you are in the area come Sunday and celebrate with us. If you don’t mind bringing some KFC or something. You will hear about our past and future. You will be able to celebrate our eight years of missional service.

I wish I could come and see it next weekend. Sounds like it is going to an awesome weekend. Also, sounds like great thing are happening at your church. Real Christianity and outreach. I believe that your church is living out the function of the 1st century Christianity. I believe that is what we have been called to do as Christians. So, many are focused on the different things that they aren’t really making a difference in peoples lives. Thanks for sharing this post with us all and inviting all of us to come. I hope there are some that come across your blog who are in your area that do come and exerience what Christianity is really like and may they be blessed.

That’s wonderful stuff, Darin. May God continue to pour grace through you and the church for the sake of the community.
