GodTube anyone?

Why is it that believers only seem able to prove that we are good at doing poor knockoffs of what has already been done? As my designer teacher said, is it inspiration or impersonation? When someone found work that looked similar to another project he would bring it in and ask if we saw inspiration or impersonation. Maybe that is the reason this bothers me so much. My Christian instructor thought inspiration was to be expected but that impersonation was never acceptable.

I personally wonder if it makes us look small and foolish. I wonder how we can reconcile the fact that we claim to serve a great big God.
